I started this blog in 2008 to share my exploration of East Pasadena’s history and natural beauty. As I quickly learned, the land East of Allen Avenue has its own fascinating and relatively untold story quite distinct from Pasadena proper. Here, we will continue exploring all things East of Allen and offer up some interesting photography. In addition, I’ll veer into other interests, which will include a healthy dose of sports and travel.
I am a southern Californian, born and raised in the formerly small town of Chino. I’ve lived in Pasadena since the late 1980’s where my wife, Marcia, and I raised our kids and restored three historic homes. Along the way, I helped form Pasadena’s first landmark district, coached a whole lot of kids’ sports, and served ten years on the city’s Planning Commission. I’m a lawyer by trade and Dodger fan by birth.
